Stand For Children Day

                                          Stand For Children Day

Stand For Children Day is celebrated each year on June 1st, and it aims to raise awareness about issues within the United States that children are faced with every day. Today we’re going to take a look at this fantastic cause and how you can help empower your own children each and every day.

What is Stand For Children Day?

Each year, Stand For Children Day works to build awareness about issues such as childcare, education, and healthcare that many children in the US are still deprived of to this day. It was founded in 1996 with the aim of improving life for children throughout the country. During that first year, a demonstration with 300,000 people took place, and each year since, the organization has continued to fight for children’s rights in the US.

Ever since its initial launch, the organization has achieved some incredible feats. They’ve distributed over 70,000 books and have renovated more than 100 playgrounds. Thousands of children have benefited from health coverage, and they are working to improve the educational opportunities available to children. Acquiring a whopping $6.7 billion in investments in education since 1999, the organization has helped influence key policies that impact children’s daily lives.

Stand For Children regularly holds rallies around the country, empowering and educating parents and the local community. Many individuals today don’t understand the opportunity they have to influence political decisions and improve life for future generations. The cause is incredibly important as it raises awareness for children’s issues, which are often neglected by communities and politicians today. Thanks to the huge amount of media attention it’s received over the years, the organization has raised a substantial amount of money to donate towards these worthy causes.

During its over 25 year history, the organization has developed various centers across the country. The Center for High School Success launched in 2017, which partners with school districts to improve educational resources and offer increased training. It hopes to encourage more students to stay on track and graduate successfully. Just this year, they also launched the Center for Antiracist Education. This encourages educators to help end racism in the place where it often begins today. It works to stop racism in schools and increase antiracist teaching across the country. After the past year’s events, this is an excellent step and a worthwhile cause for future generations.

Empowering Children In Your Home

Here at Tovla Jr., we are passionate about empowering children from a young age. One of the best places you can educate your child is in the kitchen, and many of the top lessons learned in the kitchen can be brought into other areas of their life. At Tovla Jr., we encourage children to be involved in the kitchen by offering them their own tools and equipment that’s designed specifically with their hands and size in mind. One of the reasons children often feel excluded in communities today is that the facilities on offer aren’t designed with them in mind. Whether that’s in healthcare, education, or the kitchen, this is something we can all work to offer to create a more inclusive and welcoming environment.

Many parents today often overlook the skills that can be learned in the kitchen by their children, so it’s somewhere we encourage spending more time together with children of all ages. As a parent myself, I know how challenging it can be to keep kids entertained in a meaningful way, which is why Tovla Jr. was founded in the first place. While you may find meal preparation, chopping vegetables, and preparing snacks to be boring and time-consuming after all these years, they can be an empowering activity for your young children. Equipped with their own kid-size equipment, there’s nothing they won’t be able to accomplish. They’ll then take this confidence into other areas of their life, such as school, where they’ll flourish and continue to grow throughout their childhood.

By encouraging your children to participate in activities they may associate with adults, you’ll find they are both kept entertained and gain some much-needed confidence. This is why I created a full range of kid-safe kitchen tools which will allow anyone to help out in the kitchen without the risk of an accident occurring. You’ll find that it’s a win-win situation for everyone involved, and it helps to offer a personality-building activity that Stand For Children Day recognizes is so important for a child’s development. All of our products are certified food safe and BPA-free, so you can be sure you are offering your child a safe and secure tool to use while completing their work.

Cooking Up Confidence

We are excited to announce our new campaign at Tovla Jr. called Cooking Up Confidence. We understand that not everyone in the country has access to kitchen tools, so we are working to provide knives and baking tools for underprivileged kids. Working with local charities is something we are passionate about here at Tovla Jr., and we can’t wait to see where the future takes us. We believe that all children should have the opportunity to experience what it’s like working in the kitchen, which can help to prepare them for adult life. By learning how to prepare and cook healthy and nutritious meals, children and adults can look after themselves independently wherever life takes them in the future.

Stand For Children Day is an important day for children and adults across the country and raises awareness about key issues which are often overlooked today. We encourage you to learn more about this great cause and the work they are doing in your local area, which will help to increase your knowledge about issues kids are still facing today. Empowering children from a young age is so important for their development, and there’s no better place to do this than in the kitchen. When you equip them with the right set of tools from Tovla Jr., there will be no end to what they can achieve this year.
